About 170 B.C. to 1045 B.C. the Chinese civilization flourished when Shang dynasty ruled. It was the next dynasty, the Zhou, that saw the development ideas of Chinese culture. The belief in the “Mandate from Heaven” came about, during their long region from 1045 B.C. to 256 B.C. This belief said that the ruler was the ruler because the heaven gave him this mandate. In China, the family is the main of society, and the father’s place in the family is very high. From 202 B.C. to A.D. 221, the Han dynasty reigned, and they extended the boundaries of this empire.
Confucius, a philosopher who lived in the six century B.C., in China, traveled to observe the society. He became a teacher to many students. He lived at a time of great confusion in China.
